As a Corporate Accounting Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing and overseeing the company's financial operations and accounting activities, ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and internal controls.
Responsibilities
As a Corporate Accounting Manager, you will
- Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Perform consolidation and inter-company transactions and reconciliations including foreign currency accounting.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP principles.
- Lead the budgeting and forecasting, cash management, and cost accounting processes.
- Implement, document, and maintain adequate and effective internal controls.
- Coordinate with external auditors and manage internal controls evaluation.
- Develop and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting process.
- Oversee the operations of the accounting department, including the design of an organizational structure adequate for achieving the department's goals and objectives.
- Utilize SAP or equivalent ERP systems to streamline accounting processes and procedures.
To be successful in this role, you will need
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. A Master's degree or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate accounting or related field, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
- Solid understanding of GAAP and internal controls.
- Proficiency in using SAP or equivalent ERP systems.
- Strong experience in performing consolidation and reconciliation tasks.
- Proven experience in budgeting and forecasting.
- Excellent leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
- High level of integrity, accuracy, dependability, enthusiasm, and confidentiality.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Excel.
