As an Electrical Estimator, you will be an integral part of our team, contributing to our mission of revolutionizing the construction industry. This role requires a dynamic professional who is passionate about electrical systems and has a knack for cost estimation. You will be working on a variety of commercial and industrial projects, utilizing your expertise in electrical and lighting systems to provide detailed and accurate project estimates.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver comprehensive electrical cost estimates for various commercial and industrial projects.
• Analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates.
• Consult with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments, or construction foremen to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
• Conduct special studies to develop and establish standard hour and related cost data or effect cost reductions.
• Review material and labor requirements to decide whether it is more cost-effective to produce or purchase components.
• Prepare cost and expenditure statements and other necessary documentation at regular intervals for the duration of the project.
• Confer with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates.
• Provide improvement recommendations to cost estimating procedures to reduce future discrepancies between estimated and actual costs.
• Identify and quantify potential cost uncertainties to ensure costing models capture the full range of potential costs.
  
  

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience as an Electrical Estimator or similar role in the construction industry.
• Proficient in electrical systems, lighting, and commercial and industrial electrical estimating.
• Strong knowledge of estimating strategies and techniques and a keen understanding of construction processes.
• Proven ability to prepare cost estimates at various levels of project design.
• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of professionals.
• Proficiency in computer software programs such as MS Office Suite, estimation software, etc.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is preferred.
