As an Estate Planning Attorney, your key responsibilities will include
- Drafting, reviewing, and advising on a wide range of estate planning documents including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and health care directives.
- Advising clients on estate and gift tax planning, probate avoidance, and asset protection strategies.
- Assisting in the administration of trusts and estates, including probate proceedings, trust modifications, and trust terminations.
- Providing guidance on related legal issues such as business succession planning, charitable giving, and special needs planning.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients to ensure a deep understanding of their estate planning needs and objectives.
Qualifications
To be considered for the Estate Planning Attorney position, you must meet the following qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the California Bar.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in estate planning, trust administration, and probate matters.
- Strong knowledge of California estate planning law and federal tax law.
- Excellent drafting and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts in a clear and understandable manner.
