Fire Alarm Systems Specialist

Job Overview

Jobot is seeking a highly skilled Fire Alarm Systems Specialist to join our team for an 18 month-long project.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a leading construction company, where you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety of our construction sites.

Key Responsibilities:

• Installation and Maintenance - Install, inspect, and maintain fire alarm systems in accordance with national and local fire codes.
• System Testing and Inspection - Perform regular tests and inspections to ensure that all systems and components are functioning properly.
• Consultation and Design - Provide expert consultation on the design and implementation of fire alarm systems, ensuring optimal safety and compliance with all relevant regulations.
• Troubleshooting and Repair - Troubleshoot and repair any issues with fire alarm systems, including wiring, sensors, and control panels.
• Collaboration and Training - Work closely with construction teams to coordinate the installation of fire alarm systems in new buildings or during renovations. Train staff on the proper use and maintenance of fire alarm systems.
• Reporting and Analysis - Prepare and present detailed reports on the status of fire alarm systems, including any potential issues or areas for improvement.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Fire Alarm Technician or similar role in the construction industry.
• Extensive knowledge of fire alarm systems, including installation, maintenance, and repair.
• Strong understanding of national and local fire codes and safety regulations.
• High level of physical fitness, with the ability to lift heavy equipment and work in a variety of environmental conditions.
• Certification from the National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET) in Fire Alarm Systems Level II or higher is preferred.

Benefits:

• $28-$35 per hour compensation package.
• Monday-Thursday schedule with 3-day weekends, guaranteed 40-hour work week with zero travel.
