We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent General Manager - Mechanical/HVAC to lead our engineering team. You will play a pivotal role in the overall success of our operations, managing all aspects of our Mechanical/HVAC business. This is a high-impact role where your leadership skills, technical expertise, and business acumen will be leveraged to drive operational excellence, strategic initiatives, and business growth.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and direction to the Mechanical/HVAC department ensuring alignment with company's overall objectives.
- Oversee daily operations, project management, and maintenance activities of the Mechanical/HVAC team.
- Develop and implement operational policies, standards and procedures for the department to ensure optimal efficiency and compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and projects to enhance operational efficiency, quality, and safety.
- Collaborate with other departments, stakeholders, and clients to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Manage budget and resources for the department, ensuring cost-effectiveness and optimal utilization.
- Foster a positive and conducive work environment that encourages team spirit, innovation, and excellence.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to the team, ensuring their skills and competencies are continuously developed.
- Monitor and report on department performance, providing insights and recommendations to the top management.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a managerial role in the Engineering industry with a focus on Mechanical/HVAC.
- Proven track record of successful operations management.
- Strong technical knowledge of Mechanical/HVAC systems, operations, and maintenance.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent strategic planning, project management, and organizational skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on innovation and efficiency.
- Proficient in using various software and tools related to Mechanical/HVAC and operations management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
- Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement and manage change effectively.
- In-depth understanding of relevant regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
