An IPA Top 225 Public Accounting firm is looking to hire a fully remote Government Accounting Manager to join their government consulting practice group. • Lead complex engagements in accounting, financial reporting, compliance, and performance improvement.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships while providing strategic and technical guidance.
• Supervise, train, and mentor a team of consultants and accountants.
• Partner with senior leadership on cross-functional initiatives and firm-wide goals.
• Stay informed on industry developments and regulatory changes.
• Promote a culture of integrity, professionalism, and excellence.
• Oversee project timelines, budgets, and deliverables to ensure quality outcomes.
• Provide ongoing coaching, training, and performance feedback to team members.
• Participate in performance evaluations and staff development planning.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
• 7 years of experience in public accounting or an accounting role within a small/local government with increasing responsibility.
• Supervisory experience with direct reports
