Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive legal advice to clients on a range of immigration matters, including removal defense, re-entry cases, and immigration status.
- Conduct detailed legal research to support case preparations and provide informed legal advice.
- Represent clients in court, presenting clear and compelling arguments to support their case.
- Prepare and draft various legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and briefs.
- Manage a caseload of immigration matters, ensuring each case is handled efficiently and effectively.
- Maintain excellent client relations, providing regular updates and counseling to clients throughout their case.
- Negotiate with opposing counsel, mediating disputes and working towards favorable resolutions.
- Ensure full compliance with all relevant legal procedures and regulations.
- Analyze legal issues and develop strategic solutions to overcome them.
- Collaborate with the legal team to develop strategies and streamline processes.
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admitted to practice law in the state and in good standing.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Immigration Attorney or similar role.
- Proven experience in removal defense, re-entry cases, and immigration status.
- Excellent legal research and writing skills.
- Strong experience in conducting depositions, mediations, and hearings.
- Proficient in preparing legal documents and pleadings.
- Excellent negotiation and mediation skills.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple cases simultaneously.
- Strong understanding of legal compliance and procedures.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on client relationships.
- Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide practical solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to represent clients effectively in court.
