Responsibilities
- Provide expert legal advice on insurance coverage matters, including general liability, directors and officers, errors and omissions, employment practices liability, professional liability, commercial property, and casualty.
- Analyze and interpret insurance policies to determine the extent of the insurer's liability and exposure.
- Manage and oversee insurance claims and litigation, coordinating with external counsel where necessary.
- Advise on risk management strategies and insurance policy renewals, ensuring the company is adequately protected against potential liabilities.
- Develop and implement insurance policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Negotiate and draft insurance policy terms and conditions.
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admitted to practice law in NJ and/or NY
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Insurance Coverage Attorney, preferably within the technology industry.
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of insurance law, including general liability, directors and officers, errors and omissions, employment practices liability, professional liability, commercial property, and casualty.
- Proven experience in managing insurance claims and litigation.
- Excellent negotiation and drafting skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
