Job Details

The firm is looking to add a Litigation Attorney to their Knoxville office. Attorneys with 3 years of civil litigation experience are encouraged to apply. Insurance defense experience is required. Candidates must be licensed to practice in Tennessee. A book of business is a plus.

We are currently seeking a dynamic, highly skilled, and self-motivated Permanent Litigation Attorney to join our esteemed legal team. This is an unparalleled opportunity to work with a diverse group of professionals dedicated to providing best-in-class legal services. The successful candidate will be primarily focused on Insurance Defense Litigation, and will play a critical role in managing all aspects of litigation, including taking and defending depositions, pleadings, discovery, trial preparation, and court appearances.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload involving insurance defense litigation matters.
• Conduct complex legal research and analysis to develop innovative case strategies.
• Draft, review and negotiate legal documents including pleadings, motions, discovery requests, responses, and other legal correspondences.
• Represent clients in court, before government agencies, or in private legal matters.
• Conduct and defend depositions effectively to gather or provide critical case information.
• Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, judges, and others involved in the case.
• Collaborate with legal team members to ensure a coordinated and efficient approach to meeting client needs.
• Stay updated with the latest legal trends, regulations, and rulings that may affect your cases.
  
  

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to practice in the state of Tennesseeand in good standing.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Insurance Defense Litigation.
• Proven experience in taking and defending depositions.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
• Strong written and oral communication skills, capable of explaining complex legal issues to non-lawyers.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.
