Job Details

As a Permanent Internal Auditor, you will be expected to

• Conduct thorough financial audits, including reviewing 10K and 10Q reports, to ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
• Collaborate with the EY team to ensure proper implementation of audit strategies and risk management procedures.
• Oversee intercompany transactions and consolidations, ensuring they are accurately recorded and comply with relevant standards.
• Provide technical accounting support to other departments, assisting with complex financial transactions and providing guidance on accounting standards such as ASC 842.
• Conduct risk assessments to identify potential areas of risk and implement strategies to mitigate these risks.
• Prepare and review annual budgets, balance sheets, and monthly reporting, ensuring they are accurate and complete.
• Work in compliance with FDICIA rules and regulations, ensuring all financial operations adhere to these requirements.
• Participate in audit and tax planning, providing expert advice and guidance to ensure optimal financial performance.
  
  

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for the Permanent Internal Auditor role should have

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or CPA certification is preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in financial auditing, preferably in the Mortgage industry.
• Extensive knowledge of audit procedures, including planning, techniques, and test and sampling methods involved in conducting financial audits.
• Proficiency in technical accounting and a deep understanding of accounting standards such as ASC 842.
• Proven experience with risk assessment and management.
• Strong knowledge of FDICIA rules and regulations.
• Proficiency in preparing and reviewing balance sheets, annual budgets, and monthly reports.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information clearly.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify potential areas of risk and develop effective mitigation strategies.
• Proficiency in using financial software and conducting data analysis.
