Job Details

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Mechanical Engineer to join our thriving team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the design, development, testing, and implementation of mechanical components, equipment, and systems. This role is perfect for a seasoned professional with a strong background in the energy, oil, and gas sectors who is seeking a challenging yet rewarding opportunity to showcase their skills and propel our company to greater heights.

Responsibilities

• Leading and managing a team of mechanical engineers and technicians in the design and development of mechanical systems and equipment.
• Overseeing the production and installation of mechanical components and systems, ensuring all procedures and safety standards are adhered to.
• Developing detailed designs of mechanical components and systems using computer-aided design (CAD) tools.
• Conducting research and analysis to optimize the performance, efficiency, and safety of mechanical systems and equipment.
• Collaborating with other engineers and professionals in the planning and execution of large-scale construction projects.
• Reviewing and approving technical documents, including equipment specifications, PFDs, and P&IDs.
• Troubleshooting and resolving mechanical issues and failures, implementing corrective and preventive measures to enhance system reliability and longevity.
• Participating in project meetings and providing expert advice and recommendations on mechanical engineering matters.
• Staying abreast of advancements in mechanical engineering and construction technologies, adopting new techniques and practices to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  
  

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. A Master's degree or additional certifications will be an added advantage.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Lead Mechanical Engineer in the construction industry, with a strong focus on the energy, oil, and gas sectors.
• Proven experience in the design and development of mechanical systems and equipment, including valves and piping.
• Proficiency in the use of CAD tools and other engineering software.
• Extensive knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, standards, and practices.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
• Must have CAESAR II experience
• Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders at all levels.
• A valid professional engineering (PE) license.
• A strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous learning and improvement.
