Job Details
This is a unique and exciting opportunity for an ambitious Insurance Defense Litigation Associate to join a premier legal team. As a key member of the Insurance Defense Group, you will defend national and regional insurance carriers in complex matters, including specialty insurance claims related to recreational sports, premises liability, vehicular accidents, product liability, and employment-related claims. You will gain exposure to a wide variety of cases in both state and federal courts, with the chance to represent both individuals and large corporations.
In this role, you’ll handle everything from pre-litigation case management to trial preparation, engaging directly with clients and opposing counsel. You will also have the opportunity to work alongside experienced attorneys, sharpening your litigation skills while taking on increasing responsibility. J.D. from an accredited law school.
Admission to the New York State Bar
2-5 years of litigation experience, with a focus on insurance defense or related fields (candidates with experience in general liability, premises liability, and/or professional liability are preferred).
Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
Ability to handle complex legal issues and work independently with minimal supervision.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to interact effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
Strong work ethic and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
Willingness to take on a leadership role as the position grows.
