The successful candidate will be integral to our team, providing critical support in a variety of litigation matters. This position requires a minimum of 1 years of experience as a licensed attorney, with a specific focus on general civil litigation.
Responsibilities
As a Permanent Litigation Associate, your primary responsibilities will be
- Managing all phases of the litigation process from investigation, pleadings, and discovery to pre-trial, trial, settlement, and appeal.
- Drafting pleadings, motions, briefs, reports, and other legal documents.
- Conducting depositions of parties and witnesses.
- Researching and interpreting laws, rulings, and regulations applicable to cases.
- Collaborating with other attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants, and liaising with clients to prepare for trial.
- Developing strategies and arguments in preparation for presentation of cases.
- Representing clients in court or before government agencies, presenting evidence to defend or prosecute in civil or criminal litigation.
- Negotiating settlements in civil disputes.
To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications
- A Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the State Bar of Texas
- A minimum of 1 years of litigation experience, with experience in insurance defense preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- The ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
- High ethical standards and professional integrity.
- Proficiency in legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.
