We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Maintenance Team Lead to join our fast-paced engineering team. This is an exciting opportunity for anyone who is passionate about working in the engineering industry, particularly with a focus on packaging equipment and food manufacturing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the maintenance team, ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment, and contributing to the overall efficiency and productivity of our operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of maintenance technicians, fostering a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure the reliability and efficiency of packaging equipment and robotic systems through regular maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and ensure the longevity of equipment.
• Ensure compliance with all OSHA and SQF regulations, promoting a safe and healthy work environment.
• Utilize PLC programming skills to optimize equipment performance and troubleshoot issues.
• Collaborate with other teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.
• Implement zero loss strategies to maximize productivity and minimize waste.
• Train and mentor team members, promoting skill development and career growth.
• Manage maintenance budgets, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
• Lead root cause analysis for equipment failures and develop action plans to prevent recurrence.
  
  

Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance management in the engineering industry.
• Proven experience with packaging equipment, food manufacturing, OSHA regulations, SQF standards, PLC programming, and robotics.
• Strong understanding of zero loss strategies and their implementation.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a proven ability to motivate and mentor a team.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with an ability to troubleshoot complex equipment issues.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to a non-technical audience.
• Strong project management skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• A commitment to safety, with a thorough understanding of OSHA regulations and safety best practices in the engineering industry.
• Proficiency in PLC programming and robotic systems.
• A degree in Engineering or a related field is preferred.
