Responsibilities
As a Permanent Property Accountant, you will be entrusted with a diverse range of responsibilities that are crucial to our financial operations. These include
- Overseeing and managing all aspects of accounting for a portfolio of properties.
- Performing CAM reconciliations and preparing annual tenant CAM reconciliations within the deadlines.
- Processing and recording all property-related financial transactions in Yardi.
- Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Conducting regular audits to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Collaborating with property managers to develop budgets and forecasts.
- Assisting with the preparation of tax returns and other regulatory reporting requirements.
- Identifying and implementing strategies to improve efficiency and accuracy in the accounting process.
To be considered for this pivotal role, you need to meet the following qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in property accounting, with a proven track record of success.
- Proficiency in Yardi and experience with CAM Reconciliations are essential.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in work output.
- Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- A solid understanding of accounting principles, tax laws, and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
