Role Summary
We are seeking a Senior Cost Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in cost accounting and excellent analytical skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement cost accounting procedures consistent with corporate objectives.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure accurate cost reporting.
- Analyze manufacturing costs and prepare reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs.
- Estimate new and proposed product costs.
- Prepare management reports specifying factors affecting prices and profitability.
- Assist in the month-end close of the general ledger.
- Conduct physical inventories and monitor the cycle count program.
- Review depreciation, labor, and overhead rates and suggest policy changes.
- Collaborate with the production team to understand and manage factory overhead.
- Assist in developing and implementing new systems and procedures as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 1 years of Cost Accounting experience in manufacturing or construction.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Critical thinking skills and problem-solving ability.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of GAAP and regulatory standards.
