Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and maintain high-quality standards.
- Implement Lean Manufacturing principles (5S, Kaizen, VSM, Kanban, JIT, TPM, SMED, Standard Work).
- Conduct root cause analysis and corrective actions for production challenges using tools like 5-Whys, Fishbone, FMEA, and DMAIC.
- Develop and refine quality control systems, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 and other industry standards.
- Provide technical support to production teams, troubleshooting complex manufacturing issues.
- Lead new product introductions, process improvements, and engineering projects.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to meet business objectives.
- Coordinate with suppliers and external partners to integrate new manufacturing technologies.
- Develop and maintain detailed records of engineering activities, including process changes and improvements.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and participate in safety audits and training programs.
- Train and mentor production teams on best practices and process enhancements.
- Prepare and present technical reports and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering.
- 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in aerospace.
- Expertise in manufacturing processes such as CNC machining, injection molding, stamping, deep draw, compression molding, automation, and coating.
- Strong knowledge of materials science, including composites, thermoplastics, and adhesives.
- Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks preferred).
- Experience with MRP systems (Epicor preferred).
- Advanced problem-solving skills with experience in process optimization and statistical process control (SPC, Cp/Cpk, DOE, A3).
- Strong communication, leadership, and project management abilities.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
