Job Details

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement advanced manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, minimize waste, and uphold the highest quality standards.
  • Lead large-scale process optimization and cost reduction initiatives across multiple production lines and facilities.
  • Identify, integrate, and optimize new manufacturing technologies and methodologies to enhance operational capabilities.
  • Develop, enforce, and continuously refine comprehensive quality control systems and standards at an organizational level.
  • Conduct thorough root cause analyses and implement corrective actions to address and prevent complex production issues.
  • Establish, track, and optimize key quality metrics and performance indicators to drive continuous improvement, product excellence, and regulatory compliance.
  • Provide expert technical support to production teams, ensuring rapid resolution of high-impact manufacturing challenges.
  • Lead the development, standardization, and ongoing enhancement of advanced SOPs and work instructions across the organization.
  • Mentor and coach junior engineers and production staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and operational excellence.
  • Manage and oversee large-scale, cross-functional engineering projects, including new product introductions, complex process improvements, and technology integrations.
  • Ensure successful execution of projects by managing timelines, budgets, resources, and deliverables in alignment with strategic business objectives.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership, suppliers, and external partners to implement cutting-edge manufacturing solutions.
  • Maintain meticulous documentation of engineering activities, including process modifications and strategic advancements.
  • Prepare and deliver high-quality technical reports, presentations, and documentation for diverse internal and external stakeholders.
  • Champion and enforce safety initiatives, ensuring full compliance with safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
  • Lead safety audits, drive continuous improvements in workplace safety, and contribute to the development of comprehensive safety training programs.
  • Immediately report any suspicious or hazardous conditions to a supervisor and adhere to all safety guidelines, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and hazard-free work areas.
  • Operate with minimal supervision, demonstrating initiative, attention to detail, and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Extensive expertise in manufacturing processes, including injection molding, CNC machining, stamping, deep drawing, compression molding, automated assembly, passivation, coating, and packaging.
  • Strong knowledge of materials science, including aerospace materials, composites, thermosets, thermoplastics, and adhesives.
  • Advanced technical writing skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise documentation for diverse audiences.
  • Mastery of Lean manufacturing principles and methodologies, including 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, Kanban, Just-In-Time (JIT), Heijunka, Poka-Yoke, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), SMED, Standard Work, GEMBA, Takt Time, Andon, and Visual Management.
  • Expertise in quality control methodologies, including ISO 9001 compliance, non-destructive testing (NDT), dimensional analysis, SPC, and statistical methods such as X-bar R/S, p, np, c, u, and Cp/Cpk.
  • Proficiency in MRP software, with preference for Epicor, and a strong understanding of data structures.
  • Strong project and change management skills, including charter creation, requirements gathering, goal setting, stakeholder communication, timeline and resource management, risk assessment, and performance tracking.
  • Advanced proficiency in CAD software, with a preference for SolidWorks.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, utilizing statistical methods and software such as Minitab for process improvement and root cause analysis. (e.g., 5-Whys, Fishbone, FMEA, DMAIC, Pareto Analysis, Histograms, Finite Element Analysis (FEA), Discrete Event Simulation, DOE, PDCA, A3, RCCA).
  • Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining automated machinery and control systems, including sensor integration and PLC programming for optimized machine performance.
  • Strong commitment to continuous learning and staying current with emerging technologies through training, industry events, professional networking, and innovation-driven process improvements.
