Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our manufacturing processes meet the high-quality standards that our customers expect from us.
This is a permanent position that requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
Responsibilities:
- Create AIAG/APQP documentation for new program launches.
- Manage supplier PPAP and Production Validation runs.
- Issue/follow up on corrective action request.
- Utilize problem solving and mistake proofing tools to correct/prevent defective material.
- Interface with customer SQE.
- Thorough understanding of customer quality requirements and ability to effectively communicate them to team members.
- Process auditing to ensure compliance with developed controls and methodologies.
- NDT techniques such as radiographic inspection of internal structures of castings.
- Chemistry and microstructure analysis.
- Responsible for following company and OSHA required safety procedures and practices.
- Adherence to all company policies and procedures.
- Ability to quickly learn all aspects of the quality department.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Metallurgy, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Quality Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
- In-depth knowledge of metallurgy and materials science.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis and statistical quality control.
- Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using quality inspection tools and software.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Certification in Quality Engineering (CQE) or similar would be an advantage.
- Knowledge of IATf 16949 / AS 9100 standards.
- Blueprint reading and GD&T experience.
