Responsibilities
As an Associate Attorney, your responsibilities will include but not be limited to
- Representing healthcare professionals and institutions in medical malpractice defense litigation.
- Conducting legal research and analysis to develop effective defense strategies.
- Drafting, reviewing, and revising legal documents including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
- Negotiating settlements and representing clients in court proceedings.
- Collaborating with senior attorneys and paralegals to manage caseloads efficiently.
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of laws, regulations, and industry trends related to medical malpractice and healthcare.
- Providing legal advice and guidance to clients, ensuring their rights and interests are adequately protected.
- Participating in business development activities to expand the firm's client base.
The ideal candidate for the Associate Attorney position should possess the following qualifications
- Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the state bar.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in insurance defense litigation.
- Exceptional knowledge of federal and state laws related to healthcare and medical malpractice.
- Proven track record of representing clients in court and achieving favorable outcomes.
- Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Superior written and verbal communication abilities.
- High degree of professional ethics and integrity.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
- Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
