Job Details

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the manufacturing facility, ensuring smooth running of production processes and timely delivery of products.
• Develop, implement, and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) for each area of responsibility.
• Set comprehensive goals for performance and growth, and ensure that they align with the company's strategic objectives.
• Implement effective operational procedures and processes to drive efficiency and reduce costs.
• Utilize ERP systems for inventory management, demand and supply planning, and production scheduling.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, identify process bottlenecks, and propose effective solutions.
• Ensure safety, quality, cost, and delivery commitments are met by effectively managing resources.
• Collaborate with other departments such as HR, Finance, and Sales to optimize operations and resolve any arising issues.
• Maintain a deep knowledge of the markets and industry of the company.
• Lead, motivate, and support a large team within a time-sensitive and demanding environment, including setup and implementation of career development plans for all direct reports and problem resolution.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in operations management within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven track record in process improvement, with a keen eye for identifying inefficiencies and mapping out effective solutions.
• Proficient in using ERP systems for operational planning and management.
• Excellent leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a high-performance team.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional project management and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage, guide and lead employees to ensure appropriate operational processes are being used.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong understanding of industry standards, safety standards, and operational best practices.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement certification would be an added advantage.
