We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Personal Injury Litigation Attorney to join our thriving legal team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to handle a broad range of personal injury cases, represent plaintiffs, and contribute to our firm's commitment to justice. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in litigation, a passion for helping people, and a proven track record of success. This role requires a deep understanding of legal principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work independently while also collaborating with a team.
Responsibilities
- Represent plaintiffs in personal injury cases, providing compassionate and effective legal counsel.
- Manage all phases of the litigation process, from investigation, pleadings, and discovery to pre-trial, trial, settlement, and appeal.
- Conduct thorough and detailed investigations to determine potential legal claims, assess the merits of these claims, and develop strategies to defend or prosecute these claims.
- Prepare and draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests and responses, settlement agreements, and trial documents.
- Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients, striving for the maximum compensation possible in each case.
- Advocate for clients in court, presenting evidence, arguing cases, and cross-examining witnesses.
- Stay updated on developments in personal injury law and related areas to ensure the most effective representation of clients.
- Collaborate with legal support staff and share knowledge and expertise with junior attorneys in the firm.
- Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
- Must be an active member in good standing with the State Bar.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in personal injury litigation, with a focus on representing plaintiffs.
- Proven track record of successfully negotiating settlements and winning trials.
- Exceptional analytical skills and a detail-oriented mindset.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple cases simultaneously.
- Proficiency in legal research tools and technology.
- Demonstrated commitment to professional ethics and client confidentiality.
- Passion for advocating for individuals who have been harmed and a deep commitment to justice.
