Responsibilities
As a sanitation Manager, your responsibilities will include
- Developing, implementing, and maintaining a comprehensive sanitation program that complies with HACCP, SQF, GMP, and FDA regulations.
- Overseeing the daily operations of the sanitation department, including managing staff, scheduling, and ensuring all tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.
- Conducting regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with all relevant sanitation and safety standards.
- Training staff on proper sanitation procedures, food safety protocols, and the handling of dairy and cheese products.
- Collaborating with other departments to develop and implement sanitation protocols and procedures that align with company objectives.
- Responding to sanitation emergencies and taking immediate action to resolve issues.
- Keeping up-to-date with changes in regulatory legislation and guidelines, and ensuring that all processes and procedures are updated accordingly.
- Communicating effectively with staff at all levels, in both English and Spanish, to ensure that all sanitation and safety protocols are understood and followed.
The ideal candidate for the Permanent Sanitation Manager position should possess the following qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry, preferably with a focus on dairy and cheese products.
- Extensive knowledge of HACCP, SQF, GMP & Food Safety
- Fluency in both English and Spanish is preferred
- Proven experience in managing a team, with strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think quickly and make informed decisions in high-pressure situations.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey information to staff at all levels.
- A commitment to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and safety.
