Job Details
Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Develop and maintain annual budget and quarterly forecasts.
- Manage government contracts, ensuring compliance with all financial requirements and regulations.
- Oversee the grant management process, including application, financial reporting, and reimbursement.
- Prepare journal entries, accruals, and other general ledger activities.
- Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and provide support to auditors.
- Maintain an accurate and complete trail of supporting documentation for all financial and bookkeeping activities.
- Work closely with internal departments to ensure financial transactions are accurately recorded.
- Utilize HHS Accelerator and Grants Gateway for grant management and reporting.
- Continuously improve systems and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of financial reporting, budgeting, and control.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A CPA certification is highly preferred.
- 3 years of accounting experience, preferably within a non-profit.
- Proficient in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Experience with government contracts and federal and state grants.
- Knowledge of grant reimbursement procedures.
- Proficient in making journal entries and accruals.
- Familiarity with HHS Accelerator and Grants Gateway.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel and accounting software.
