We are seeking a highly talented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced organization with a culture focused on innovation, efficiency, and excellence. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for a wide range of accounting tasks, with a primary focus on account reconciliation, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial reporting. This role is a permanent position and requires a candidate with a strong background in these areas.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and posting journal entries, maintaining balance sheet schedules, ledgers, and accounts, and preparing monthly close procedures.
• Performing monthly balance sheet, income statement and changes in financial position/budget variance analyses.
• Ensuring accuracy and effectiveness in all of our accounting tasks.
• Supervising accounts payable and accounts receivable staff and functions.
• Working closely with the finance team to achieve financial objectives.
• Assisting with tax audits and tax returns.
• Developing and documenting business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
• Assisting in the formulation of internal controls and policies to comply with legislation and established best practices.
• Preparing financial statements and producing budget according to schedule.
• Directing internal and external audits to ensure compliance.
• Supporting month-end and year-end close process.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting with a strong understanding of account reconciliation, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial reporting.
• Familiarity with financial accounting statements.
• Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
• Excellent accounting software user and administration skills.
• Accuracy and attention to detail.
• Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
• Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and other accounting principles.
