Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive legal advice and guidance to clients and ensure their best interests are protected in matters of insurance defense.
- Manage all aspects of litigation, including drafting pleadings, motions, discovery, and briefs, as well as conducting depositions and trial work.
- Handle a diverse case load related to auto accidents, construction defect, general liability, and other insurance defense matters.
- Develop and implement strategic legal initiatives to manage risk and resolve complex legal issues.
- Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality legal services.
- Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, and settlement negotiations.
- Stay updated on current laws, regulations, and industry trends pertaining to insurance defense, and adjust strategies as necessary.
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in insurance defense litigation, with a focus on auto accidents, construction defect, and general liability.
- Must be an active member in good standing with the State Bar.
- Proven experience with civil litigation and trial work.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle complex legal issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build relationships with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple cases and projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in legal research and writing.
- A commitment to maintaining high ethical standards and confidentiality.
- A proven track record of providing exceptional client service and achieving successful results.
