We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Civil Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering, with a proven track record of managing complex projects and leading teams to success. This is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned professional looking to make a significant impact within the engineering industry.
Responsibilities:
As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for:
1. Leading and managing all aspects of civil engineering projects, from initial planning and design through to completion and handover.
2. Overseeing the production of detailed design plans and specifications using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
3. Coordinating and liaising with internal teams, clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
4. Conducting site inspections and surveys, and ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with health and safety regulations.
5. Providing technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers and other team members.
6. Continuously monitoring and evaluating project progress, and making necessary adjustments to plans and strategies as required.
7. Preparing and presenting project reports and updates to senior management and clients.
8. Keeping up to date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices, and implementing these into your work where appropriate.
Qualifications:
To be considered for the Senior Civil Engineer role, you will need to have:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. A Master's degree or Professional Engineer (PE) certification would be highly advantageous.
2. A minimum of 12 years' proven experience in civil engineering, with at least 5 years in a senior or leadership role.
3. Expertise in civil engineering design, including proficiency in CAD software and other relevant engineering tools and technologies.
4. Exceptional project management skills, with a track record of successfully managing and delivering complex engineering projects.
5. Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders.
7. A thorough understanding of health and safety regulations and best practices in the engineering industry.
8. A high level of attention to detail and the ability to solve complex problems efficiently and effectively.
9. The ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines without compromising on quality.
10. A strong commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
