- Preparing detailed electrical estimates for construction projects, including material and labor costs, based on project specifications, drawings, and other relevant information.
- Reviewing and analyzing drawings, specifications, and other project documents to determine the scope of work and prepare accurate cost estimates.
- Collaborating with customers, vendors, and internal team members to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Creating electrical designs and drawings using AutoCAD and Trimble software, ensuring that all designs comply with the latest electrical codes and standards.
- Conducting site visits to assess project requirements, identify potential issues, and provide recommendations to the project team.
- Participating in project meetings, providing technical expertise and guidance to ensure that all project objectives are met.
- Managing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Maintaining accurate records of all project estimates, designs, and other related documents.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you should have:
- A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- WI Designer's license and/or design build experience is a plus.
- At least 3 years of experience in electrical estimating and design for construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and other relevant electrical codes and standards.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Trimble software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and strategically.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to maintain high standards of quality.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
