Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation of detailed cost estimates at different stages of the project, from concept to completion.
- Analyze drawings, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and clients to understand the scope of work and deliver accurate estimates.
- Utilize your expertise in AutoCAD and blueprint reading to prepare and review technical construction documents.
- Conduct risk analysis, identify potential issues, and propose strategic solutions.
- Utilize your strong negotiation skills to secure the best prices from subcontractors and suppliers.
- Maintain a comprehensive cost management process to monitor project budgets and control costs.
- Participate in project planning and scheduling, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Regularly review and update estimating procedures and cost data to ensure the most accurate and up-to-date information is used.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in construction estimating, specifically in industrial and commercial sectors.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficient in estimating software and tools, AutoCAD, and blueprint reading.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, processes, and equipment.
- Exceptional skills in project management, budgeting, and cost estimation.
- Excellent negotiation skills with a proven track record of successful cost management.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities, with high attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
