Responsibilities
As a Senior Oil & Gas Paralegal, your responsibilities will include
- Conducting extensive eDiscovery tasks, including data collection, processing, review, and production.
- Assisting in the preparation and filing of legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence.
- Conducting legal research and preparing legal memoranda on various oil and gas law topics.
- Managing and organizing large volumes of complex documents and coordinating document productions.
- Assisting with the preparation for depositions, hearings, trials, and corporate meetings.
- Liaising with clients, counsel, and other parties on matters related to oil and gas.
- Assisting in the management of oil and gas leases, contracts, and agreements.
- Ensuring compliance with all legal standards and regulations.
The ideal candidate for the Paralegal position should possess the following qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Paralegal in the oil and gas industry.
- Extensive experience with eDiscovery, including the use of eDiscovery software and tools.
- A Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved program or equivalent is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of oil and gas law, including leases, contracts, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent research and report-writing skills.
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research platforms.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- High degree of professional ethics and integrity.
