Responsibilities
- Oversee the month-end close process, ensuring all financial data is accurately recorded in a timely manner.
- Prepare, review, and distribute monthly financial reports to senior management, highlighting key trends and providing insightful analysis.
- Maintain the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all invoices are processed in a timely manner and all payments are collected.
- Oversee the manufacturing cost accounting process, ensuring all costs are accurately allocated and variances are properly investigated and explained.
- Work closely with the finance team to develop and implement financial policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Assist with the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts, providing accurate and timely financial data to support strategic decision-making.
- Participate in internal and external audits, providing all necessary documentation and answering any queries.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is a plus, not required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting role, preferably in the scientific or manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures, including month-end close, financial reporting, general ledger management, accounts payable and receivable, and manufacturing cost accounting.
- Proficient in the use of accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex financial information to non-financial staff.
- High level of integrity and professionalism, with the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
