We are seeking a motivated and experienced Shipping Manager to take charge of our shipping operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of shipping routes and delivery, specifically with regard to customer satisfaction. As a crucial part of our team, you will be tasked with ensuring efficient, safe, and timely shipping processes, while managing a team of employees. This is a permanent role and requires someone with a strong background in shipping and receiving, contract negotiations, and warehouse management systems. Job Details

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate all shipping and receiving activities in the warehouse.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and federal and state regulations.
• Prepare and process important shipping documents such as customs declarations, and ensure all documentation is accurate and complete.
• Negotiate contracts with shipping companies, freight forwarders, and other logistics service providers to secure advantageous terms.
• Utilize Warehouse Management Systems effectively to monitor shipments, maintain inventory control, and manage warehouse operations.
• Analyze shipping data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and potential cost savings.
• Collaborate with other departments to integrate logistics with business systems or processes.
• Oversee the maintenance, security, and cleanliness of the warehouse.
• Train and mentor shipping staff to ensure optimum performance.
• Handle any shipping-related issues, complaints, or queries promptly and professionally.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the manufacturing or aerospace industry.
• Proficient in Warehouse Management Systems and other logistics software.
• Strong knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures, contract negotiations, and customs declaration.
• Experience with Boeing and aerospace industry is highly desirable.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and drive process improvements.
• Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
• Strong negotiation and decision-making skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
