We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Instrumentation and Controls Engineer to join our innovative team. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of instrumentation and control systems for our scientific research and development projects. Responsibilities:
As a Sr. Instrumentation and Controls Engineer, your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Designing, developing, and implementing instrumentation and control systems for scientific research and development projects.
2. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define system requirements and specifications.
3. Evaluating existing systems and recommending improvements to enhance performance and reliability.
4. Providing technical leadership and guidance on instrumentation and control systems.
5. Developing and implementing maintenance procedures for instrumentation and control systems.
6. Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to instrumentation and control systems.
7. Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
8. Training and mentoring junior engineers and technicians.
9. Participating in project planning, budgeting, and scheduling.
10. Staying current with the latest trends and developments in instrumentation and control engineering.
Qualifications:
To be considered for the Sr. Instrumentation and Controls Engineer position, you must have:
1. A bachelor's degree in engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience, and at least 3 in the biopharma industry
3. Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and Emerson products.
4. Strong knowledge of instrumentation and control systems design, development, and implementation.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex systems.
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
7. Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
8. Proficiency in relevant software and tools, including CAD and PLC programming.
9. Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
10. Be able to travel onsite one week a month (expenses covered)
