The Staff Accountant is responsible for various accounting, reporting, and SOX related tasks at the corporate level for a nearly $500 million US public company in the manufacturing space.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited university
Minimum of 3 years of experience in public accounting (Big 4 preferred) and/or industry at a publicly traded company
CPA license or exam candidate
Working knowledge of multi-location, multi-currency consolidation with foreign currency translation
SOX compliance experience, as an auditor and/or a control preparer or owner
Experience preparing and reviewing journal entries, account reconciliations, and other accounting schedules and reports
Experience coordinating and working with controllers or accounting staff across multiple countries
Excellent organizational and analytical skills and ability to multi-task
Excellent communication skills, oral and written.
Experience working with a large ERP software (Oracle, Peoplesoft, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Sage, etc.
Exceptional Microsoft Excel skills. (proficiency with pivot tables, match formulas, v- and h- lookups, etc.)
Ability to work with minimal direction and oversight.
Self-driven, high drive and personal accountability.
Incredible attention to detail, highly organized and methodical
