Hybrid Staff Accountant Role Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Temporary to Hire Staff Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the financial transactions of our organization.
The ideal candidate will have experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, expense reports, Concur, QuickBooks, advanced Excel, billing, reconciling credit cards, and an associate's degree in accounting. Job Responsibilities:
- Managing accounts payable, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded and processed.
- Performing month-end closing tasks, including preparing and posting journal entries.
- Reconciling credit card transactions and resolving any discrepancies.
- Generating and sending out invoices, as well as tracking and resolving outstanding payment issues.
- Utilizing Quickbooks to maintain financial records and generate reports.
- Leveraging advanced Excel skills to create pivot tables and perform V-lookups for data analysis.
- Assisting with ad hoc projects as needed, providing financial insights to support strategic decision-making.
Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field from an accredited institution.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting role, with a focus on accounts payable and month-end close processes.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and advanced Excel, including pivot tables and V-lookups.
- Experience with billing and credit card reconciliation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts in a clear and concise manner.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
