We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Staff Accounting Analyst to join our Accounting and Finance team. This position plays a crucial role in our organization, providing financial expertise and analytical support to our operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing financial data, preparing reports, and ensuring the accuracy and compliance of our financial records. Responsibilities

• Analyze financial data and create financial models for decision support.
• Provide financial reports and interpret financial information to managerial staff while recommending further courses of action.
• Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.
• Guide cost analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Develop financial models, conduct benchmarking and process analysis.
• Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and Excel dashboards.
• Increase productivity by developing automated reporting/forecasting tools.
• Maintain a strong financial analysis foundation creating forecasts and models.
• Perform market research, data mining, business intelligence, and valuation comps.
• Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge of financial instruments, market conditions, and trends.
  
  

Job Details

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or financial analysis.
• In-depth knowledge of financial analysis, financial model-building, and professional report writing.
• Experience in the oil and gas industry is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with exceptional skills in Excel.
• Comprehensive understanding of financials, ledger, and monthly reporting.
• Strong fluency with Excel formulas and functions.
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage well through ambiguity and complexity.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Strong work ethic with a positive, can-do attitude.
• Independent worker and analytical thinker with the ability to conduct research, data analysis, and resolve complex problems.
