An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and experienced Superintendent to join our progressive team in the Construction industry. This position is perfect for a seasoned professional who thrives in high-pressure environments and is passionate about construction management. The ideal candidate must be proficient in MS Project, willing to travel, and have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role. This is a highly collaborative position that involves working closely with various teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all stages of project life cycle, including initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling, and closure.
- Develop and implement project work plans and review as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
- Identify construction issues to be resolved through site surveys for potential locations.
- Conduct onsite inspections to ensure compliance with building and safety codes, and other regulations.
- Supervise, mentor, and lead project team members, fostering a collaborative working environment.
- Manage relationships with contractors, subcontractors, and stakeholders, ensuring open and regular communication.
- Prepare and submit budget estimates, progress reports, or cost tracking reports.
- Implement quality control programs and safety measures.
- Ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management or a similar role.
- Proficiency in MS Project, construction management software, and standard office applications.
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to manage and guide teams.
- Strong understanding of the construction industry, including in-depth knowledge of construction procedures, materials, and project management principles.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to read and comprehend blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
- Willingness to travel as required for project needs.
- A valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
- Certification in Construction Management or related field would be an added advantage.
