The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of all phases of construction, from pre-construction planning to project completion. Responsibilities
As a Permanent Superintendent, you will
- Oversee all aspects of construction project management, including budgeting, scheduling, and risk management.
- Coordinate and supervise the activities of subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Maintain quality control measures and conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with building and safety codes.
- Foster a positive and safe work environment, ensuring all activities adhere to company policies and OSHA safety standards.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other construction specialists, providing valuable input based on your expertise.
- Resolve any issues or delays that may impact project timelines or quality.
- Communicate effectively with clients, providing regular progress updates and handling any concerns promptly and professionally.
- Continuously strive for process improvement, identifying opportunities to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.
The ideal candidate for the role of Permanent Superintendent will possess
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in a construction management role, with a focus on multifamily and single-family residential projects.
- A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Extensive knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide teams towards achieving project goals.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to make critical decisions under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach.
- Proficiency in construction software, such as Procore or similar.
- A proven track record of completing projects on time and within budget.
- Certification in construction safety or a related field is a plus.
