We are seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to join our team as a Permanent Survey Crew Chief. This position plays a pivotal role in our construction projects, ensuring accurate and detailed land surveying to guide our construction processes. The successful candidate will be part of a vibrant and fast-paced environment where precision, problem-solving, and a keen eye for detail are paramount. Responsibilities

As a Permanent Survey Crew Chief, you will have a wide range of responsibilities, including

• Conducting detailed land surveys for construction projects, using a variety of modern surveying equipment and technology.
• Supervising and directing the activities of the survey crew, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and procedures.
• Interpreting construction plans and specifications to create accurate and detailed survey reports.
• Managing the maintenance, calibration, and correct operation of all survey equipment.
• Collaborating with engineers, architects, and other construction professionals to ensure accurate project execution.
• Resolving any issues or discrepancies that may arise during the surveying process.
• Keeping detailed records and reports of survey data, including sketches, maps, and descriptions.
• Ensuring that all survey work is completed within project timelines and budgets.
  
  

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for the Permanent Survey Crew Chief position will have the following qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in land surveying, preferably in a leadership role.
• Extensive knowledge of modern surveying equipment, techniques, and technology.
• Proven ability to interpret construction plans and specifications accurately.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment and adapt to changing project requirements.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures in the construction industry.
• A degree or diploma in a relevant field, such as civil engineering or geomatics, is preferred.
• Certification or licensure as a Professional Land Surveyor is an advantage.
