Summary :
A top land surveying and mapping company is looking for a Survey Crew Chief to work out of their Stuart office. The ideal candidate would be someone with previous experience in a Survey Crew Chief role or an experienced I-man looking to grow in their career. The position would primarily be responsible for managing a survey crew on projects throughout Florida.
Responsibilities :
- Coordination and Supervision of a field survey crew in surveying for boundary, topographic, line work, hydrographic, and other relevant surveying projects
- Coordinating, assigning, and monitoring field work.
- Utilization of GPS equipment, levels, and scanners.
- Set up and run survey equipment to effectively gather survey data.
- Conduct a closed-loop traverse, process the data, and perform trigonometric leveling calculations.
- Coordinate Geometry (COGO) tasks, including inverses, resections, staking lines, and field translation and rotation of coordinates.
- Interpret subdivision plats and legal descriptions based on metes and bounds.
- Perform map checks and identify closure errors using Carlson SurvCe software.
- Locate property boundary markers by referencing a pin finder, recorded deeds, or subdivision maps.
- Travel throughout Florida on field and survey projects.
