We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented, and experienced Permanent Tax Accountant to join our dynamic Accounting and Finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing complex tax returns, providing tax planning services to our clients, and staying updated with the latest tax laws and regulations. As a Permanent Tax Accountant, you will play a crucial role in minimizing tax liabilities, ensuring tax compliance and accuracy, and maximizing client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review complex tax returns (individual, corporate, partnership, fiduciary, non-profit, state, etc.) in compliance with federal and state tax laws.
• Provide tax planning and consulting services to clients, advising on strategies to minimize tax liabilities.
• Research and interpret tax laws and regulations to stay updated with the latest changes and ensure compliance.
• Assist in IRS and state tax audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accuracy in financial statements and tax returns.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing exceptional customer service and expert advice.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend strategies to improve clients’ financial status.
• Participate in continuous professional development activities to stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA) certification is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax accounting, preferably in a public accounting firm.
• Proficient in tax preparation software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
• Comprehensive understanding of federal and state tax laws and regulations.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex tax concepts in a clear and concise manner.
• Proven ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize deadlines, and work independently or as part of a team.
• Self-motivated with a strong desire to stay updated with the latest tax laws and industry trends.
