Job Details

You'll work cross-functionally with engineering, operations, quality, and training teams to ensure that our welding processes are efficient, compliant, and scalable.
Responsibilities
- Assess current welding operations and plan for scalable growth across facilities
- Provide accurate weld time estimates and support production scheduling
- Translate customer, engineering, and code requirements into practical welding workflows
- Collaborate with design, engineering, and quality teams to integrate welding needs early in product development
- Recommend equipment, procedures, and training to align welding capabilities with production goals
- Enhance existing welding processes with a strong emphasis on automation and efficiency
- Standardize welding practices and assist in implementing them across multiple locations
- Ensure compliance with AWS, ASME, and relevant codes and certifications
- Troubleshoot welding challenges with operations teams and develop effective solutions
- Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions for welding-related issues
- Maintain detailed technical documentation, including WPS, welder qualifications, and testing records
- Support welder training, skill assessments, and ongoing certification efforts
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Welding Engineering or a related discipline and minimum of 4 years of experience
- Certified Welding Engineer (CWE) credential
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in manufacturing or fabrication welding engineering
- Deep understanding of welding materials, processes, and automation technologies
- Proven experience working with AWS, ASME, and similar welding codes and standards
- Strong analytical and structured problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to travel up to 50% to support operations across multiple facilities
- Clear, confident communicator and collaborative team player
- Physical capability to work in a plant setting and adhere to all safety requirements
