We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Attorney to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling a variety of legal matters relating to workers' compensation defense. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on high-profile cases and engage in complex legal matters. The successful candidate will work closely with our team of seasoned attorneys, providing legal advice and services to our diverse clientele. Responsibilities
- Represent clients in court or before government agencies, presenting evidence to defend clients or argue for the prosecution against defendants in workers' compensation cases.
- Prepare legal briefs, motions, pleadings, appeals, and other legal documents.
- Conduct legal research and analysis to advise clients or to prepare cases.
- Examine legal data to determine advisability of defending or prosecuting lawsuits.
- Negotiate settlements of civil disputes in the best interest of clients.
- Confer with colleagues to establish and verify bases for legal proceedings.
- Advise clients concerning business transactions, claim liability, advisability of prosecuting or defending lawsuits, or legal rights and obligations.
- Develop strategies and arguments in preparation for presentation of cases.
- Maintain and develop client relationships with a view to securing repeat business.
- Stay updated with the latest legal trends, laws and regulations.
- Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
- Admitted to practice in the state and in good standing.
- 2 years of experience as an attorney, with a focus on defense and workers' compensation.
- Strong understanding of workers' compensation laws and procedures.
- Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to resolve complex legal issues.
- Ability to manage a high caseload and work within strict deadlines.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High degree of professional ethics and integrity.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
