Job Summary

We are seeking an HR Advisory Specialist to provide high-quality advisory support to HR Business Partners (HRBPs), Business Unit (BU) Managers, and leaders on various HR focus areas. The role will cover both routine and ad hoc matters, including reasonable accommodations, background escalations, and Tier 2 leave of absence cases. The ideal candidate will collaborate with both global and regional HR colleagues to support people initiatives, and work effectively to ensure high-quality service delivery and employee experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advisory Support : Provide day-to-day advisory support to HR Business Partners, BU Managers, and employees on various HR matters, including reasonable accommodations, background escalations, and leave of absence cases.
  • Collaboration : Partner with global and regional HR colleagues to support and drive key people initiatives.
  • Communication & Liaison : Act as a liaison between employees, managers, the Reasonable Accommodations team, employment law, employee relations, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Case Management : Track and document all requests in centralized systems (HRCM and AskHR) from initiation through closure, ensuring timely and accurate case notes are maintained.
  • Proactive Risk Management : Identify trends and propose actions to mitigate risk and improve the employee experience.
  • Service Delivery : Ensure service delivery standards are consistently met or exceeded by providing high-quality support and guidance to all stakeholders.
  • Judgment & Escalation : Exhibit exceptional judgment, escalating matters as appropriate when necessary.
  • Interpersonal Skills : Build strong relationships with stakeholders, engendering trust and ensuring effective communication.
  • Multitasking & Prioritization : Manage multiple workstreams and assignments in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while maintaining strong attention to detail.
  • Problem Solving : Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, taking initiative and using resourcefulness to address issues as they arise.
  • Confidentiality : Handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Compliance : Stay updated on relevant labor laws and regulations to ensure compliance and mitigate potential risks.

Required Qualifications

  • Education : Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience : Previous HR Coordinator or Recruiting experience is preferred.
  • Skills :

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated patience, tact, and respect when interacting with others.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Exceptional independent judgment and decision-making abilities, with the ability to escalate matters appropriately.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and navigate complex relationships.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.).
  • Ability to manage a high-volume, fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Accommodation Requests : Experience coordinating accommodation requests or handling similar cases is preferred.
  • HR Knowledge : A strong understanding of Human Resources functions and relevant labor laws is an advantage.
  • Relationship Building : Proven ability to build strong relationships and quickly gain trust from employees and stakeholders.
  • Certifications

    Certifications (Preferred but not required) : Any relevant HR certifications such as PHR or SHRM-CP would be considered a plus.
