Job Summary :
The Security Control Center Operator provides lawful security responses to deter wrongful acts at Company facilities and ensures a secure environment for both employees and visitors. The operator is responsible for carrying out post orders and continuously monitoring electronic security systems and alarms while on duty.
Key Responsibilities :
- Serve as the central point of contact for Client and members regarding security and safety concerns and questions.
- Monitor computerized alarm systems, including audible and video surveillance, intrusion detection, and physical access control systems.
- Dispatch the appropriate entity as needed based on the security situation.
- Evaluate complex security issues regularly and respond accordingly.
- Submit DOE 417 reports to ESISAC and the Department of Energy (DOE).
- Act as the primary liaison between Federal, State, and Local Law Enforcement.
- Manage and issue company-wide Security Alerts.
- Initiate and coordinate the Executive Call List (ECL).
- Process daily card provisioning requests and troubleshoot issues related to access control systems.
- Coordinate and oversee security investigations, including dispatching investigators, responding to theft, fraud, and other incidents, issuing case numbers, and maintaining logs.
- Create, maintain, and implement clearance codes for the ProWatch application.
- Monitor NERC CIP (Critical Infrastructure Protection) sites for compliance and security.
- Issue company-wide safety alerts as needed.
- Perform any additional duties as assigned.
- Working Conditions / Physical Demands :
- Work primarily in a command center environment with extensive use of computers and monitors.
- Availability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays, including on-call shifts and call-outs.
- Must be available for emergency call-in duty when required.
- Ability to successfully complete all mandated training, including Commissioned Full-Time Peace Officer certification.
- Exposure to extreme conditions and inclement weather may be required.
- Adherence to Company Security Officer dress code and grooming standards is mandatory.
- Must meet physical exam requirements, including sight and hearing tests.
