Our client, a leading provider of ecommerce services for grocery retailers, is looking for a dynamic and forward-thinking Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) Manager to join their team.
The ideal candidate will lead IT staff, vendors, and third-party providers to enhance the competitiveness of our client through innovative IT technology.
As part of this role, you will drive software engineering processes, ensure the success of 24 / 7 operations, and foster a high-performing engineering organization, all while enabling automation and delivering excellence in the end-user experience.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and collaborate with teams across Applications, Engineering, Platform, Operations, and Cloud to ensure premier software delivery.
Champion and drive software engineering standard processes across operational areas, leading by example.
Lead a 24 / 7 engineering organization, focused on enabling automation and efficient operations.
Foster a diverse and forward-thinking environment, promoting lifelong learning.
Learn and understand eCommerce and fulfillment operations, business processes, and interdependencies.
Ensure results are delivered on time with high quality and meet business needs.
Required Qualifications
5 years of experience in eCommerce business systems or 5 years in Supply Chain, Warehouse Management, or Transportation.
5 years of experience in an SRE or DevOps role.
5 years of experience with Scrum Agile methodology.
Proven ability to deliver easily maintainable, understandable, and diagnosable solutions.
Excellent documentation skills to create clear and consumable technical documentation.
Experience building and leading high-performance teams.
Extensive experience with customer-facing systems in a high uptime 24 / 7 environment.
Expertise in analyzing complex application, database, network, and OS issues across large-scale distributed systems.
Experience with system configuration management and automation tools like Puppet, Chef, Ansible, or Salt.
Advanced experience in programming and / or scripting languages (Python, Java, Bash).
Strong experience with DevOps tools, processes, and culture.
High-level technical understanding of development methodologies and project phases.
Proven ability to work collaboratively across functional areas to achieve results.
Effective interaction with Technology and Business Partners.
