Under the direction of the District Controller the Accounting Administrative Support (Accounts Receivable) position is responsible for auditing and processing cash receipts student activity accounts and accounts receivable invoicing.
Responsibilities and tasks include : The essential functions of this position include but are not limited to the following fundamental job duties :
- Maintains district accounting systems and monitoring various revenues and receivables
- Utilizes accounts receivable knowledge to support other departments
- Verifies and processes the collections of money insuring they are appropriately deposited and reported
- Student fees / meals tracking and monitoring
- Banking related transaction tracking and reconciliation
- Manages student activity accounts to ensure compliance with MDE Manual for Activity Fund Accounting (MAFA)
- Assists with annual audit entries
- Performs cash audits at district sites
- Prepares invoices for goods and services
- Scanning and indexing using a document management system
- Delivering customer service that embodies the district mission
- Compiling statistical data
- Performing other comparable duties of a like or similar nature as assigned
Minimum qualifications include :
