JOB DESCRIPTION
Lead assigned capital projects (standalone projects and projects within plant outages) and manage engineering, design, and construction resources in West Gulf Coast (WGC) Region. Typical project load is between 10-20 projects up to $2MM TIC.
Develop estimates, funding request documents, schedule, and ongoing forecasts for assigned projects.
Ensure all projects receive adequate hazard and safety reviews and that all recommendations are completed in a timely manner.
Ensure inherent process safety is adhered to on all project designs.
Provide field supervision / support during project field execution.
Manage Project Safety.
Maintain projects on budget and schedule.
Ensure all projects meet the operability needs of the customer.
Gain a basic understanding of the operating plant environment, process and equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS :
Minimum of 3 years manufacturing plant operations, maintenance, or capital projects experience.
Must have or be willing to achieve various state mandated certifications (TWIC, OSHA, etc.) and other requirements as may be deemed necessary.
Strong organizational and planning skills.
Strong leadership abilities.
Self-motivated and willingness to learn.
High ethical standards - unwilling to compromise on worker safety and regulatory compliance requirements.
Organizational credibility - able to influence business area, engineering and manufacturing managers in decision making process.
Technical degree (Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering preferred)
Ability to travel 10-20% of the time depending on assigned workload
