Job description
Leads or coordinates project engineering for capital projects, ensuring compliance with engineering QA / QC procedures, maintaining engineering practices, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to meet technical quality and reliability requirements, while achieving project objectives.
Possesses a working knowledge and experience level with growing independence :
- Progressing towards full competency, becoming more skilled in problem-solving and decision-making
- Handles a range of moderately complex tasks, developing the ability to tackle more intricate work
- Analyzes potential solutions based on standard procedures, guidelines, or policies
- Receives moderate guidance and direction
Key Responsibilities :
Develops Scope of Work documents for capital projects and collaborates with other disciplines to create basis of design documentsManages small projects or portions of larger capital and major projectsPrepares project estimates, budgets, schedules, material lists, and contracts for smaller projectsApplies technical standards and design criteriaCoordinates design and construction activities with internal teams and contractors as neededEnforces QA / QC procedures and management of change protocols to support project schedulingMonitors and controls project performance during execution to meet technical, quality, safety, and environmental standards, ensuring project objectives are metManages engineering contractors and may oversee other contractors on projectsJuggles multiple projects and initiatives simultaneouslyCommunicates regularly on project status and developmentsSupports commissioning, troubleshoots operational issues during the prove-out phase, and ensures the completion of punch list / post-commissioning actionsCollects and shares lessons learned from projects to promote continuous improvementPerforms other assigned tasks as neededRequired Skills & Competencies :
