Physical Demands And Environmental Exposure:
Most assignments will be performed in an office, meeting, or operations command center environment, but some field work may be required. May be required to work extended work hours during activation of disaster recovery operations for an unspecified length of time (varies based on the extent of the event).
This position requires bending, stooping, and lifting to 25 lbs., frequent walking, standing, sitting, reaching, and ascending/descending stairs.

Job Duties/Responsibilities
- Manage IT Projects: Coordinate, manage, and support IT projects related to system upgrades, software maintenance, and application implementations.
- Collaboration & Vendor Management: Work closely with internal teams, County central IT and other departments, and external vendors for smooth project coordination. Assist in software procurement, evaluation, and vendor selection.
- Budget & Timeline Management: Develop and manage budgets, timelines, risk and deliverables. Ensure project completion within scope, timeline, and budget.
- UAT & Implementation: Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) efforts and resolve issues prior to full implementation.
- Business Analysis & Process Improvement: Assess current workflows, identify inefficiencies, and recommend and implement process improvements.
- Use Case & UI Design: Collaborate on design and development of use cases and user interfaces (UI) to meet application requirements and enhance user experience.
- KPI Tracking & Reporting: Monitor project KPIs and provide regular updates to the IT Director and stakeholders.

Education
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business Administration or a related field.
- 5 years of IT project management experience, particularly in software system upgrades and platform implementations.
- Project Management Skills: Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Microsoft Project).
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication skills for managing relationships with internal teams, external vendors, and stakeholders.
- Technical Expertise: Experience with business analysis, process improvement, and UI design for applications.
- Experience with software platforms: Experience in permit, construction, facility management, and asset management software platforms.
Preferences
Education
- Master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business Administration or a related field.
- Certifications: PMP or Scrum Master certification preferred.
- Previous experience in local government or public-sector IT projects.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
